The new AP-D116 offers the same ease-of-use as its predecessor, the AP-616, but introduces a wealth of new features:

D-1 resolution at 30 FPS on all 16 channels

HDMI output for HD-quality picture

A new digital zoom feature for examining detail at a remarkably close level

D-1 resolution is comparable to HD quality on all channels at analog pricing. If you have a pre-existing analog camera infrastructure (coaxial cable), you can utilize the existing wiring to get HD-comparable image quality. Not only does the DVR output HD-comparable resolution, but it can record that resolution at 30 frames per second! This allows the AP-D116 to capture all the action of a scene and provide smooth, life-like playback. For comparison, television shows and movies record at 24 frames per second which provides the effect of motion without any gaps.

Because of the D-1 resolution combined with 30 FPS, the storage needs of this DVR are larger than its predecessor. I highly recommend getting a larger hard drive for archiving your footage.

The HDMI output offers full D-1 Resolution output. This makes the DVR very versatile in the ways you can display the images. You can use a computer monitor via the VGA output, a television via the HDMI, or both at once. Yes, I said it both at ONCE! This DVR gives you the option of displaying it on two different screens at the same time, as long as one is VGA and one is HDMI. Furthermore, you can hook up a monitor to the BNC video output for a THIRD monitoring display! The displays will have the same image on all them.

Finally, the digital zoom feature offers you the ability to utilize the D1 resolution. With the digital zoom you can draw a box with the mouse over the image you want to enlarge. This makes it comparable to digital counterparts. I recommend using a camera with high TV lines like a 600TVL to better advantage of the D-1 resolution on the digital zoom.

Cleveland Heights City Council approved the purchase of some high tech security cameras for the Cedar Lee Business District recently. The cameras use Wi-Fi technology and will be the forerunners of things to come for policing in the future.

These cameras will be you running 24/7 will provide important information on the area and any crimes being committed.

You can read the rest of the story HERE

“These cameras will be the eyes and ears of our police department,” Stein said. “Each camera is like having a police officer on duty.”

Our High Speed Dome has 210 times magnification and over 100 preset setting that can be rotated around for different views. They can be used indoors or outdoors. The lens is so powerful you can see a license plate from 100 yards away. It has 360 degree continuous monitoring. This pan tilt zoom camera is truly electronic marvel.

On the surface of it this seems like such an amazing story. Parents who are in custody battles are using their children as basically Trojan horses to ride into the enemy camp to get information using hidden cameras and hidden microphones on their kids.

Divorce attorneys say this has revolutionized the business of divorce.

You can read the whole story
HERE.

As a personal matter, I think using children like this is wrong. However I give them good credit for creativity and it shows another use of hidden cameras and hidden microphones.

OurDVR Hidden Cameras can catch folks in wrongdoing and the Watch Hidden Camera would be good at doing undercover work described in the article. This watch can record both video and audio.

This is a story about a burglary that was caught on camera at a model home in Tampa, Florida. The burglars stole a standalone popcorn machine worth $500 and did another $700 worth of damage to the home.

You can read the whole story HERE.

The average value of goods taken in a home burglary is closer to $1700 with another $1700 worth of damage done to the home. One out of six homes is a victim of a home burglary on an annual basis.

This is a good example of how surveillance cameras can be used. Instead of a surveillance camera you could use a hidden camera for the same thing.

Our Dome Camera can be used indoors for home security. It switches to black-and-white when there is low light conditions. The IR LED’s augment night vision to 20 feet in complete darkness.

Here’s a story about a burglar that got caught on surveillance camera outside a San Antonio home. The surveillance camera tracked his every move from the time he was casing the home until the time he broke in and showed different places where even tried to break in.

Our Complete Surveillance Systems can protect your home.
If you value your home and the things in it having a surveillance camera system is the best way to protect it.

This is a story about Port St. Lucie in Florida. They have experienced an increase in crime lately with the most serious being a shooting at one of the recreational facilities. The city decided to purchase some high tech surveillance cameras, hire some additional security people and issue passes for all facilities

You can read the whole story HERE.

The story goes on to say that “The purchase of high-resolution cameras that can pan 360 degrees and zoom across long distances and large areas are also being seen as key in combating crime in city parks. The remotely controlled cameras will allow direct monitoring of trouble spots via police or city computers, and will be sensitive enough to read vehicle tags.

Our High Speed Dome camera can do the same thing. If you have an increase in crime in your area whether it’s a neighborhood or a business this high speed dome camera can help. It has 210 times magnification and can zoom in on a license plate from great distances.

Here’s a story about a man who was arrested for stealing a wallet. He was part of the gang of three people that have been stealing wallets and other items for the purpose of identity theft. Identity theft is the fastest growing area of crime in the country.

You can read the whole story HERE.

The story goes on to say that he was caught by surveillance camera.

Our Vandal Proof Dome surveillance camera has 36 IR LED’s that provide night vision capability to 80 feet in complete darkness. The lens can be adjusted form 4-9mm in the rear of the camera.

Of course this camera is waterproof and vandal resistant.

Law enforcement officials will tell you if someone does break into your house and you have video evidence of them breaking in chances are 50% greater that they will be caught. Why would you want to take a chance and not have a surveillance camera at your house?

Here’s a story about a string of burglaries in a local town in Australia. Burglars knew exactly what they were after as is usually the case and are in and out of the stores quickly.

You can read the rest of the story HERE.

In one instance the burglar “knocked out and stole the security cameras, motion detectors and the alarm. He definitely knew what he was doing.” If the bad guys steals your security cameras, motion detector and alarm you’re in big trouble. He must’ve known that there was a motion detector and alarm in the business so it was probably an inside job.

The story presents a good case for using a hidden camera inside a business. And the hidden camera that makes absolutely the most sense is one that no one would ever suspect and that is the Exit Sign Camera that has a DVR in it. It records motion activation on to an 8 GB SD card.

If you checked out our GeoVision CBW120 / CBW220 Review, you may have noticed that setting up a wireless security camera system within your home/small office can be a breeze.

Setting up an outdoor wireless system can be easy as well…though it will require one extra piece of equipment: a wireless transmitter/receiver package. This essentially allows you to choose any camera you’d prefer and attach it to the ‘wireless bridge.’

A few important reminders:

You’ll need power available where you’re setting up the camera to provide power for both the camera and the transmitter

Analog and IP cameras can operate through a wireless transmitter, although the analog cameras will need a video server to interface with the transmitter

Several cameras can plug into one transmitter/receiver

A wireless receiver is paired with each transmitter

The wireless receiver(s) then plug into a switch and then into the DVR for recording/monitoring

Wireless systems can be a great solution for hard-to-wire applications. A good transmitter/receiver combination will provide high-quality images at a range of up to 1.8 miles!
