Here is a story about a school district that is paying a half over half $1 million settlement to a student in a civil harassment claim. The teacher was acquitted in the jury trial. Go figure. The point is this that sexual harassment claims can be expensive-very expensive.

Remote Internet viewing in simple terms is the capability of watching what your camera sees from anywhere in the world over the Internet. There are two major ways to do it. You have to have a DVR that has Internet networkable capability or use an IP camera.

Recently in Dallas, Texas a home burglar got caught on camera breaking into a home and stealing some goods. The video as shown HERE shows clearly what he did and more importantly who he was. It took a few days, but the Dallas police finally found him because of the video. He got convicted and is spending some serious time in jail.

He had prior convictions but he was always released on probation.

The video shows me two things. First, it shows how effective a home surveillance camera can be. He never would’ve been caught without it. The second thing that it shows is at the beginning of the video he’s looking into the home. He’s looking for things of value to steal.

Don’t make it easy for the bad guys. Close your blinds and drapes so people can’t see into your house. Then you have a better chance at keeping what is yours, yours.
